outfit: pink and blue

LISTEN WHILE YOU LOOK!
blouse c/o my wonderful friend, Maria Elyse
I used to write all of these lovely poems back in 2008 about how I wanted to find myself and what a "lonely lovely struggle" it was. I am back to this slate of re-creating myself anew. It feels so invigorating and horrifying at the same time. I'm looking forward to bettering myself and my blog and artwork. I have a lot of exciting things in the works and a lot to be happy and thankful for in my life. I hope to love myself more in this process and love my readers more as well. Thank you for reading and being beautiful.
love, polly

I love the song you posted Polly & your outfit, like always is beautiful. <3
I'm sorry to hear about you and Nathan but if it is a journey about self discovery your after, single is the best way to do it. Everything happens for a reason. I wish you all of the luck in the world in finding yourself. <3

Much Love,

Be strong, Polly. I love who you are and I know that you will just discover more wonderful things. I felt the same way about getting back into the single boat again last year but I have definitely learned a lot.

Oh! I don't know what to say, my dear....
You guys must have had enough reason to take such a decision (more so, since you guys are still good friends)......and I'm glad to see that you're taking all quite positively! Hope this works out for the best......take care.......and be strong! Invest all the new-found time & energy into your work & art, and I'm sure you'll come out of it beautifully & emerge a winner! :)

All the very best...... *big hug*

Oh sweetie, I'm sorry! I'm going throguh the same thing. At first I just felt completely adrift and lost - lost like I'd never felt lost before - it's taken months (and many difficult conversations) to begin to understand the reasons behind it all, and to see a way that we can possibly still be friends. I wish you a speedy recovery and a magical future x

What a good attitude to have about what can be a very difficult transition in anybody's life. Plus your pink sock hosiery over black hose-hosiery has got me convinced I have to try this look sometime this week. Fashion inspiration; life inspiration. Now that's blogging! :)

Wow, you seem to get along with the situation so well! You are so strong and reasonable, that's very inspiring and mature. I believe I couldn't do it, but I'm glad you can! Of course I'm sorry to hear about the break up though :-/

You look lovely in the photos, this little suitcase and the coat are oh-so-cute! And the printmix of socks and tights, aaawww <3

Stay strong Polly! I'm sure I'm not the only one of your readers sending you some love in thoughts!
Happy Friday! :)

This post is wonderful, and I hope you know you have the support of the whole blogosphere in this. I wrote a blog post about six months ago when my ex-boyfriend dumped me, about the place of romantic relationships in the blogosphere, here: http://thevelvettes.blogspot.co.nz/2011/09/starry-starry-starry.html When I got together with my current boyfriend I was almost too scared to mention it on my blog in case we broke up or something. Now I see this is stupid- everyone has 'failed' relationships, everyone goes through rough patches in their life, and our blogs are a way for us to subvert traditional notions of journalism and make things the way we want! And I want blogs that are honest and candid and sometimes talk about things other than pretty dresses. And so I adore this post, and I commend you! And I can assure you that magic and love is out there waiting for you. And that you look beautiful. FIN
