new years resolutions

It's not even 2011 and I am already thinking of new ways to improve my life. Why? Well, I just feel like the past year has taught me a lot.. but it's not enough. I want to actually DO more things. I want to make more things. I want to be someone who does what she says she will with full force.
So, (much to my relief) I am moving next semester. I thought I'd snap some last pictures of my room this semester to remember. Sorry, it's quite messy! I think it will be a nice way to start over again.. and my room is SO big with hardwood floors! Can't wait to show you! Here is a look at what my apartment looked like when I first moved in!
What are you doing this year to make your life feel new?
love, polly

You and me both! I've had the same mindset of wanting to do more. Hope 2011 will be fantastic for you!

I think I'm going to have to make a resolution to do less... with regards to the blog anyway. And more with regards to school. Ugh.

I like your resolutions. I have yet to really sit down and think about the changes I'd like to make, but what you said sounds good! I'd definitely like to "do more".

:) you are too sweet.

the biggest thing on my resolution list is to begin crafting again. my life has been full changes and moving and it's not over yet but the spring will bring lots of great things for me i hope. i'll finally be able to unpack my life from boxes!

hooray for change!! i love change, especially one that involves moving to hardwood floors. :) this fall i finished grad school, moved to a new city, got a roommate and got married. LOTS of change this year. but i'm looking forward to even more change in 2011. not sure what that is yet, but it will happen i'm sure. good luck with your move!

I'm sharing the same kind of feelings you are! The past year, there has been a lot of big changes in my life - but I'm hungry for more! ;) I'm totally utterly excited about starting up our business - hopefully we'll be running it by March 2011! :)

Next year, I'm going to complete every song I ever wrote. It's the challenge I've made for myself because I have a million of unfinished pieces on my computer! I'll also be moving out for the first time next fall, so I need to save up as much money as possible haaha scary thought

Oh yes I can totally relate to your resolution to do more things! It's the same with me! My resolution is especially for uni, i want to be more enthusiastic about it and more motivated! It's a privilege to be able to go to uni! I need to remember that :)

Have a good time in your new apartment! It's a great way to start over again indeed!

Moving somewhere new sounds exciting! A great way to start over (+ decorating is always fun!).

To answer your question, I found my dress form online from a web site called Kijiji...it's basically a Canadian version of Craigslist where people post things they want to sell and so on. I got an amazing deal...I paid $50 for it. I've also seen similar forms in sewing shops that are typically $200-$450. Ebay's always an option too! Hope that helps:)
